Karen is the Estimating and Bid Team Leader for Colt, providing support to the sales team, producing quotations, reviewing and completing tenders and reconciling new projects. She works closely with the sales team, technical department, and commercial surveyors.

She had 3 years of experience in the construction industry along with CAD experience and relevant qualifications, making Karen the perfect candidate prior to joining us in 2004; she was even interviewed on her 21st birthday!

Since starting in the Architectural Solutions Team, Karen has since had the opportunity to work in our Smoke Control, Commercial, and Credit Control departments; building up a vast amount of experience. Recently, Colt funded Karen in completing her CMI diploma in Management and Leadership, assisting her future progression within the company.

As a busy parent to 2 boys, free time isn’t something she has a lot of. However, she likes to cook for friends and family and socialise when possible. She also has a large garden which is the focal point for family life, so any time to work on it is taken!
