Rowans Hospice is dedicated to delivering specialist palliative care and achieves this through a range of services that have been developed to best meet the local needs of the community: In-Patient Care, Hospice at Home, Therapeutic Day Care services, Community Care, Bereavement Support and Education and Training.
Between 2017 and 2018 alone, 399 patients were admitted to Hospice In-Patient care, 1543 attendances at Day Care, with 4259 attendances at the Living Well Centre. Rowans has been providing this exceptional level of care for the last 25 years, but it therefore makes the next 25 years even more crucial.
Colt centers itself on delivering 'Colt conditions' within the company and to its customer base, this being the creation of healthy, comfortable and safe environments for people. Colt are now extending this ethos beyond its usual business operations through their corporate partnership with Rowans, in support of the Silver Jubilee Appeal, which will ensure that the hospice space can offer tranquility and sanctuary for its patients for the next 25 years. The ambitious project which is seeking to raise £7.5 million to renovate the entire hospice is being delivered through a phased approach from the beginning of 2019.
The building is fundamental for delivering the best and most appropriate care - it is the home of professional teams, in-patient ward and therapy areas for patients, relatives, carers and the bereaved. Colt are delighted to begin their fundraising journey with Rowans and assist with this incredibly important renovation project.
The Charity Committee are busy putting together their ideas and devising a number of campaigns to roll out between now and the end of the year, but Colt's first fundraising campaign will be the Silver Jubilee Tea Party taking place on Wednesday 4th September. The in-house fundraiser will provide Colt employees the perfect opportunity to show off their baking skills!
