Colt is pleased to announce the appointment of Nick Buckingham as its UK Managing Director following the announcement of his retirement by David Ferrol earlier this year. Nick joined Colt on 27 October 2014.
Nick brings to his new role extensive experience in the construction industry and business development skills that will enable him to focus on growing Colt's business in the UK's smoke control, climate control, industrial ventilation and solar shading markets.
Nick joins us from The Alumasc Group plc where he was Managing Director of its Construction Products Division. During his time with Alumasc he was successful in growing the business through a strong focus on both geographic expansion and new product development.
A Chartered Civil Engineer and experienced General Manager, Nick has a BSc in Civil Engineering from Loughborough University and an MBA from the University of Nottingham. Following an early career in the UK construction industry working for both main contractors and specialist sub-contractors, Nick then worked in the building and construction products industry, latterly spending time with the Building Products Division of Armstrong World Industries Inc.
