Firelight Duo natural flap ventilator

Dimensions / size range

• From 1000 mm to 2500mm overall ventilator width in 1 mm increments (to 2000mm with bracket control option)
• From 1000mm to 3000mm overall ventilator length in 1 mm increments.

Flap options

• Double or triple glazed: 28, 30 or 32mm overall thickness or customer specified (up to 60 kg/m²)
• Polycarbonate: 16 or 25mm overall thickness or customer specified (from 16 up to 50 mm), either clear or opaque
• Infill panel: a 2mm thick aluminium external sheet, 25mm thick infill with a mass of 30 kg/m² and heat transfer of 0.03 W/m²K, 2mm thick internal sheet. 25mm overall thickness as standard.
• Noise reduction panel, multi-layer system to achieve R’w of 49 dB.

Materials

All components of the base and flap are manufactured from EN AW 6060-T66 aluminium alloy. The frames of both the base and flap are thermally broken.

Colours/ finishes options

• Mill finish, standard
• Polyester powder paint to a RAL colour, standard 75 mu

Fixing options

• Fixing flange for curb
• Fixing flange for glazing
• Fixing flange for roof sheeting

Installation angle from 0 to 10° from the horizontal.

Controls options

• Pneumatic
• 24V DC linear drive electric

Both options are for smoke and day to day ventilation. For pneumatic versions, either double-action locking mechanisms or fail safe open. For electric versions, only double-action locking option available.

• Bracket controls (for smaller vents and/or those installed into glazing)
• Control channel controls (for larger vents and/or heavier lids or need to keep actuator lengths short)

If it is used as a smoke ventilator, activation is either by local thermal fuse which opens the unit at a pre-selected temperature, or by responding to an external release signal.
