Liberator powered smoke extract ventilator

Liberator extracts smoke and hot gases in the event of a fire. It is suited to most industrial and commercial buildings and can provide both day-to-day ventilation for climate control, as well as smoke ventilation. It fulfils the time/temperature requirements of EN 12101-3, achieving F200 (200°C/120 min), F300 (300°C/60 min) and F400 (400°C/ 120 min) in accordance with EN 12101-3.

The Liberator smoke extraction fan is available in roof or wall-mounted versions:

  • TL: Roof mounted, with vertical discharge. This has four non-return shutters and an aerodynamic cowl.

  • WL: Either wall mounted, with horizontal discharge or roof mounted with vertical discharge. The shutter arrangement is either an insulated flap (for roof and wall) or a louvred ventilator (only for wall). 630mm and 800mm nominal fan sizes.

The shutter version with a flap as termination (WL / FLAP) is opened by a gas spring and is pulled closed by a cable that is operated by a rotary electric motor. In the event of fire, this flap is locked in the open position.

The shutter version with a louvred ventilator as termination (WL / FCO) is closed and held closed by a rotary electric motor. In the event of fire, the louvres open under force of the spring, and are held open. This version is suitable only for installation into the wall.

Both shutter versions have fusible links to open the shutter at a pre-defined temperature.
