Colt has been involved with the building of these luxury London apartments since the design stage, successfully installing smoke shafts, ventilators, extractors, fans and a Wintergarden glazing system.
Colt has been installing the past 5 phases of this project with Galliford Try over the last 7 years. Due to the different phasing of the project - in particular the car park - Colt has been adding circuits to the large underground car park in phases ensuring the panels are all "future proofed". The lobbies of the buildings have had different architects’ interpretations over the course of the project, so Colt has moved with the differing design and legal requirements, helping the architects realise their visions fully.
Colt has been congratulated on the performance of each of the shaft systems after install. Over all the phases, Colt has installed a wide range of systems, including Colt constant, Colt variable and Colt reversible systems. All systems have been proved by CFD at start of phase and successful smoke demonstrations to Building Control for sign off at the end of each phase.
The stylish Coltlite LWS Wintergarden glazing system which was also installed creates a pleasant ‘inside-outside’ atmosphere for the prime apartments.
With the project being located close to the Thames, one of the key considerations was, of course, moisture contact. Therefore, all paint used was independently tested to marine conditions and all fixings have also been independently pull-tested and certified as per contract.
