As the first building you see when you exit Canary Wharf underground station, the Newfoundland residential development is one of the most impressive in the area. Standing 56 levels tall, this building involved a complex design from Hoare Lea and Colt’s early involvement and expertise was instrumental in helping to obtain approval from building control for this project.
In order to complete the design to building control’s satisfaction, we installed Colt extract fans, Seefire natural louvred ventilators, Defender F fire-rated motorised ventilators as well as Doorman electromechanical door releasers and dampers.
This comprehensive Colt system is a double mechanical reversible system that operates across levels 2 – 56 and goes to double extract in override, which is automatic via pressure control.
